Saken Kulkarni, Former CASI Research Assistant on Campus

Saken Kulkarni, C’08 and former CASI Research Assistant, chatted informally with students in Houston Hall on Friday.

Saken now works as a public sector consultant with IBM in DC but spent a month working on a CSR project in Coimbatore with Siruthuli, an NGO focused on improving environmental quality in Tamil Nadu.

Good questions came from around the table on a variety of topics. From the inefficiency of waste water management due to high energy costs and how to recruit and keep talent at small NGOs, to how CSR can add value and the benefits of looking at problems from an outside perspective; Saken engaged the students with his insights.
